Self Detachment!

In this age of self focus, independence and "it's all about me" attitude, we are Called by God to an entirely different mind set! Our spiritual growth consists in "dying" to self, dependence on God and "Other" focused! We are to approach life relying on God, motivated by Love! When we follow His path we find Peace, Joy and Contentment! The spiritual life is about Love, and Love is the Gift of self.... requiring the spirit of detachment! We must never hold onto things of this world too tightly! They are not for our manipulation and possession, but gifts to be appreciated and SHARED! Our goal is to be "Submissive to Good, unbending to evil, gentle in generosity, untiring in Love, Just in ALL things"!  Then we will find true Peace and Joy, regardless of our circumstances!
