FR. NICHOLAS DIVINE, CP
Fr. Nicholas Divine, CP is a Passionist priest, from Old Ward Four, a traditional Polish American Catholic neighborhood in Holyoke, MA. After receiving a B.A. Philosophy degree from St. Hyacinth College, Granby, MA, and a M.A. Theology degree from Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Cromwell, CT., Fr. Nicholas taught Religious studies, creative writing, poetry, and humanities in both Catholic and public schools for 18 years. He served God and Country in the United States Army for eight years. Nicholas was hired to serve as campus minister of Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School in Birmingham, AL where he met and worked with the Passionist Fathers and Brothers. He entered the Passionists in 2014. In May 2019, he graduated from the Catholic Theological Union, Chicago, receiving a Masters of Divinity degree while serving in local parishes. On March 7, 2021, he was ordained a priest in the chapel of Holy Name Passionist Retreat Center. Fr. Nicholas enjoys playing ice hockey, canoeing and writing. He has one full length comedy play, “Right Angles”, published as a book in July 2018 which made its debut on stage at the University of St Thomas in December 2022.
