The summer is still a busy time here at Holy Name Passionist Retreat Center. Although the Catholic Retreats don’t start again until October, there are plenty of ACTS retreats and 12-Step Recovery Retreats. It’s hard to find the time to get away to spend time as a staff. Last week we made the time. We left the day to day of the retreat center and went into town to see an exhibit of the Sistine Chapel, pizza, and then gelato. All in all, a day as close to Rome as we could afford!!
Father Joe kept us all laughing. I think it was a great for team-building and overall joy.
As Saint Paul reminds us in his letter to the Hebrews, (10:24-25)” Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Speaking of team-building, we have started a new enterprise here at Holy Name which we are calling Parish Staff Retreats. It is oriented toward parish staffs but would also include school and office staff. The retreat team at Holy Name will put on a day of team-building, reflection, or just quiet for your staff.
